Kuwait- Austria registers over 1,600 coronavirus cases
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, Oct 18 (KUNA) -- Austria said Sunday 1,672 people tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours to reach a total of 65,041.
The Ministry of health said in a statement 49,561 people recovered so far from the virus, and added that health care workers conducted more than 1.9 million swab tests since the outbreak of the virus.
It added 893 people have died of the virus, while there were 135 patients were in the intensive care units.
Austria has tightened precautionary measures and made wearing of masks mandatory in indoor and outdoor areas. (end)
