Mauritania reports 20 new Covid-19 cases


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RABAT, July 27 (KUNA) -- The Mauritanian Health Ministry said Sunday that 20 people contracted the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall infections to 6,171.
No deaths were reported while recoveries increased by 156 to 4,430, director of the ministry's public health dept. Ould Az Zahaf said in the daily briefing tonight.
Since the pandemic reached Mauritania in mid-March, 156 people have died from it so far. (end)
