Registration open for virtual agribusiness mission to Dubai

São Paulo – Brazilian-based agribusiness companies looking to expand are invited to join the 'Agribusiness Virtual Trade Mission: Dubai' from November 24 to 26. The effort is an offering of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), the premier investment-oriented platform in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The mission is intended for food producers in Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain that deal in vegetables (organic and non-organic), fruits (organic and non-organic), grain, seed, cereal (raisin, nut, plum), spices, cocoa and its products, processed foods, processed super foods, coffee and its products, canned fish and/or seafood, frozen fish and/or seafood, poultry, beef, lamb meat, and rabbit meat.

The purpose of the event is to enable sales in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries – the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.

Participating enterprises will be entitled to items including 30 hours' worth of online courses, five B2B meetings, two business to government (B2G) meetings, and five follow-up meetings. Registration is available online through July 31. On August 7 at the latest, the AIM will issue a list of eligible participants, on the basis of capacity to sell product across the Gulf.

From August 17 to November 7, 30 hours of online training and mentoring workshops will be available online.

Costs range from USD 2,500 (through August 14) to USD 3,000 (August 15 to 31).

Entrants will be allowed to enter an online pitch competition with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes. The 1st place will get 100% off their mission investment, an invitation for a VIP mixer mission, round air ticket and 4 nights in a 4.5-star hotel for follow-up during AIM in March 2021, and 2 VIP entrances to AIM 2021 for follow-up, at an approximate Value of USD 10,500. Second and 3rd place prizes will be roughly USD 4,800 and USD 3,400 in benefits.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is promoting the event in Brazil alongside the Embassy of the UAE in Brasília.
