Northwesterly wind to cause low visibility in Qatar starting Monday
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Qatar is expected to be affected by northwesterly fresh to strong wind starting Monday, May 11 to Thursday, May 14, said Qatar Meteorology Department in its report.
A wind speed ranging between 15 to 25kt reaching more than 35kt at times in some areas, especially during noon, will result in blowing dust and low visibility below 3km at times especially in open areas.
In addition, wave height is expected to rise offshore between 4ft to 7ft reaching 9ft at times during this period.
The maximum temperature will range between 31 to 37 degrees Celsius and the minimum will be around 20 to 26 degrees Celsius across the country.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged all residents to be careful and to avoid marine activities and to follow regular updates through its official social media accounts.
