(MENAFN) According to Palestinian security sources, on Friday night, Israeli war jets hit airstrikes at the Gaza Strip in response to an earlier rocket attack.
A blast was heard in northern Gaza Strip after Israeli warplanes hit a military post with air-to-ground missiles, as said by the sources.
No fatalities were registered from the airstrikes.
The Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip struck hours after unknown militants released a rocket from the Hamas-ruled coastal enclave that landed on an empty area in southern Israel.
