German stocks post loses

German shares suffered a decline on Monday, the benchmark DAX index saw a drop of 32.48 points, or 0.27 percent, to set at a total of 11,857.87 points.
Lufthansa German airlines had the worst blue chips performance as its shares declined 6.50 percent, aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and Deutsche Bank both followed with declines of 5.35 percent and 3.96 percent respectively.
The best performer was energy group RWE with its shares rising 3.72 percent, Beiersdorf personal-care company and Merck pharmaceutical company both saw rises of 2.09 and 1.97 percent respectively.
The most traded share was Allianz, a German insurance and financial services company, having a turnover of USD716.6 million.
