Kuwait imports 3.6 mln face masks
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 2 (KUNA) -- Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced importing 3.6 million face masks to meet the growing demand in local markets.
Kuwait Supplies Company is tasked with distributing the masks at supplies centers across the country, said the ministry in a statement on Monday.
The masks were imported in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense, using the latter's airplanes to deliver the items, under direct orders from His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, it noted.
The health ministry inspected the masks to make sure they fit international standards and directed Kuwaitis and expats on the best way to use them to prevent the coronavirus, through different media and social media. (end)
