(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Sciences inaugurated the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Festival under patronization of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Among the eminent attendees of the inauguration ceremony was Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi and KFAS Director General Dr. Adnan Shihabeddine.
KFAS Director of Scientific Culture Dr. Salam Al-Ablani said in a statement on Sunday that the festival, due until February 14, aims at boosting the scientific culture in smart industries, aiding the youth develop their kills, in line with Kuwait's future aspirations.
The festival falls within KFAS' strategy designed to encourage all segments of the society to be engaged in scientific technology and innovation.
Moreover, the strategy focuses on updating programs and initiatives in these sectors.
Meanwhile, Manal Al-Rashed, Director of Motivating Science and Technology Program indicated that the festival highlights characteristics and benefits of the robots. (end)
