(MENAFN- Daily Outlook Afghanistan) KABUL - The prices of vehicle fuel, gas and ghee have dipped while other items' rates remain stable during the outgoing week in capital Kabul, market sources said Monday.
Abdul Hadi, a worker at Wazirabad Fuel Station in Kabul told Pajhwok Afghan News that the price of one liter of petrol was dipped from 50 Afghanis to 48 Afghanis and the same quantity of diesel from 48afs to 47afs.
He said the fuel prices dipped after highways were opened and imports of the commodity increased during the last one week.
Ahmad Javid, a liquefied gas seller in Taimani area of Kabul said that the price of a kilogram of the commodity was downed from 90afs to 65afs.
He also said that the price of gas decreased after roads were opened and imports increased.
This comes as the price of gas has increased by more than 70 percent during the last two months.
According to a Pajhwok report, the price of a kilogram of gas was sold for 60afs to 65afs in December 2019.
In food items, the price of only ghee has dipped.
Mohammad Samim, a wholesaler in Kabul Mandavi market said that the price of a 16 liter tin of Khurshid ghee was decreased from 1,300afs to 1,280afs.
However, he said that 49 kilograms of Kazakhstani flour cost 1,550afs, 49kg of Pakistani rice 2,000afs, a kilogram of Indonesian green tea 300afs and the same quantity of African black tea 320afs, the same rates of last week's.
Ahmad Mustafa, who owns a grocery store in Taimani area of Kabul, sold a 50-kg sack of Kazakhstani flour for 1,600afs, a 49-kg bag of sugar for 2,200afs, 24-kg of Pakistani rice 2,200afs, a 16-litre tin of ghee for 1,350afs, one-kg of Indonesian green tea for 320afs and the same amount of black African tea for 360afs—higher than wholesale rates.
Gold prices slightly increased.
Basir Ahmad, a jeweler in Lycee Mariam area of Kabul, said that the price of one gram of Arabian gold increased from 3,150afs to 3,200afs and the same quantity of Russian variety from 2,500afs to 2,600afs no changes have recorded in gold rates.
Haji Mir Hussian Sadaqat, a moneychanger at the Money Exchange Service in Sara-i-Shahzada, told Pajhwok Afghan News one US dollar was accounted for 76.90afs and 1,000 Pakistani rupees for 486afs against last week's 78.70afs and 483afs. (Pajhwok)
