(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has launched a smart service that will automatically register its customers at the time of registration of their rent contracts with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME).

According to newly-launched smart service, the procedures for registering customers with Kahramaa will be completed automatically by linking and integrating systems with the concerned authorities in the country without any need to submit requests or documents by customers.

Nasser Al Khuzai, Head of Continuous Improvement Operations, Department of Planning and Quality, Kahramaa.

He said that customers are no more needed to submit a request for shifting to a new residence or pay security money.

'A notice will be sent to the customer about the request, immediately after documenting the lease contract, and completion of the registration procedures with Kahramaa with amount of security money which will be added to the first Kahramaa bill, said Al Khuzai.

He said that the landlord will also receive the notice about a transfer request to a house on his property for the new tenant based on the rent contract, and registering the tenant as a customer to Kahramaa.

On the other hand, the smart registration service provides automatic registration of owners with Kahramaa by linking and integrating systems with the Ministry of Justice through the SAK system.

The database of landlords at Kahramaa will be updated automatically and the new owner is registered as soon as the document of ownership is documented by transferring the data to Kahramaa system without the need to submit a request to transfer ownership of the property.

A notice will be sent to the previous and new owners of the creation of the application based on the documentation of the title deed and the registration of the new owner in a manner that ensures the continuous updating of Kahramaa's landlords data and automatic cleansing of the owners' database.

He added that linking and integrating systems with different authorities in the country enhances the ease of receiving information effectively and efficiently, which is reflected in the level and quality of services provided to the public.

Al Kuhuzai explained that the new service contributes to the speedy completion of customer transactions, saving time and effort, and reducing the number of customers to the service centers.

He stressed that these services come within the framework of Kahramaa's transformation into a smart institution, and the integration of its system with several stakeholders in the country according to Qatar National Vision 2030 and the national development strategies.

He noted that before the service was officially launched yesterday, it was launched almost a month ago in an experimental manner to ensure the effectiveness of the service.

Engineer Mohamed Al Badr, Head of Systems Development Department, Information Systems Department, Kahramaa said that linking and integrating systems with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, and Ministry of Justice, allows Kahramaa to inquire about all the transactions that were registered during a specific time period.

He said that an internal system was established to automatically receive the information on rental contracts documented with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment at a rate of once every 60 minutes during working hours, and title deeds documented with the Ministry of Justice through the SAK program at a rate of once a day.

Khaled Mohamed Amin, Director of Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Justice, stressed that the launch of this batch of smart services reflects government integration in the field of data exchange between ministries and various state institutions, in order to reach the best level of quality of services provided to the public.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Justice has coordinated and provided all the necessary requirements to facilitate and launch these services, in order to develop services provided to the public in coordination with various government agencies and institutions in accordance with the latest service electronic programs.

Omar Al Yafei, Assistant Director of Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, confirmed that the new service will save a lot of time and effort for Kahramaa clients, especially tenants, as the Ministry of Municipality receives about 10,000 requests for documentation and change of real estate rental data per month.
