Kuwait- Saudi Minister: KJO to produce 325,000 bpb by end of 2020


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 25 (KUNA) -- Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman has stated that Al-Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) will resume production in the Saudi-Kuwaiti Divided Zone oilfields gradually, projecting the production to reach 325,000 barrels per day by end of 2020.
This remark was made by the Saudi minister at a reception held Wednesday at the KJO premises in the Saudi city of Khafji in the presence of Kuwaiti Minister of Oil and Minister Electricity and Water Minister Dr. Khaled Al-Fadhel, according to a KJO statement.
Minister Abdulaziz and Kuwaiti Minister Al-Fadhel hailed Tuesday's agreement to resume production in the oilfields of the Divided Zone as a fruit of the solid Kuwaiti-Saudi relationship.
The also underlined the importance of the future of oil and gas industry in the region and the optimal investment of the Divided Zone resources.
They renewed their countries' commitment to OPEC Plus agreement's production quotas. (end)
