Also, the growing demand for the product from the pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industry for packaging is again propelling the market growth of tinplate packaging. However, issues associated with steel manufacturing and flexible packaging are likely to hamper the market growth.

However, the production of aluminum is the most energy-intensive. Aluminum is used for making cans for paints, cosmetics, food, etc and the rate of recycling aluminum is also the highest in Europe. Most of the aluminum used in automobiles are recycled but only 60% is recycled from the packaging industry. More than 80% of aluminum is recovered in the whole of Europe and since the recycling process needs less energy and prevents emissions every country should focus on recycling the metal as much as they can.
