Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Combination Magnetic Line Starter, 25 HP, 480V 3PH

Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof combination magnetic line starter for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This unit features a starter coil voltage of 110/120V 50/60Hz and a motor voltage of 480V. This unit provides 25 horsepower (maximum) during operation and comes with a NEMA size 2 rating.

TheEPCS-MTS-MLS-3P-25HP-480V-2XPB.SG explosion proof combination magnetic line starteris rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This unit offers a full-load amp range of 4A to 20A and features fused primary/secondary circuits that provide operators with 240/480V primary and 120V secondary. This unit features a 50-amp circuit breaker and thermal magnetic disconnect method for circuit protection.

Larson Electronics' explosion proof line start features an adjustable solid-state overload and a red pilot light and accessible push-button for resetting the unit. The circuit breaker handle can be locked for added security and features two push-buttons that control Stop and Start functions. This unit is made of copper-free aluminum with 316 stainless-steel cover bolts and a BUNA-N nitrile O-ring gasket.

This unit is designed for surface mounting with four mounting lugs on each corner of the unit with one 1.5' NPT hub, one 0.75' NPT hub and one 0.5' NPT hub for completing wiring connections. Suitable applications include motor control and starting, equipment management, and more.
