Moroccan police confiscate 8 tons of cannabis in Tangiers


(MENAFN) On Friday, the Moroccan police managed to confiscate as many as eight tons of cannabis in the suburb of the northern city of Tangiers.

The Moroccan police stated in a statement that five persons were detained over their suspected connections with an international drug trafficking network during the raid.

The Moroccan police conducted the operation inside a farm which is located 20 km from Tangiers.

The police operation also resulted in a confiscation of three inflatable boats, marine navigation equipment, 20 barrels of fuel and two wireless communication devices.
