3.3 percent boost in Iranian agriculture output
(MENAFN) Overall agricultural output in Iran registered a jump by 3.3 percent during the last Iranian calendar year ending March 20 this year to stand at 122 million tons.
This production is related to a range of agricultural areas that consist of horticulture, livestock, poultry and aquaculture.
Reports pointed out that in the Iranian calendar year of 1392, beginning March 2013, total agricultural production in Iran reached 97 million tons.
Deputy Agriculture Minister Abbas Keshavarz further revealed a surge in self-sufficiency rate in wheat production, reaching 105 percent from the previous 65 percent.
