(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, July 25: The Public Authority for Manpower has taken a decisive action against companies which have contracts with the US Army following the discovery of some cases of 'human trafficking', reports Al-Qabas daily.

Director of PAM Ahmad Al- Mousa said the Residence Affairs Investigation Department after checking the files of some companies have referred them to the Public Prosecution to protect the rights of workers and prevent their exploitation.

Al-Mousa revealed a mechanism will be put in place in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and representative from the US army to approve the contracts.

He added the mechanism will include a clause that calls for separation of Kuwaiti workers from expatriates whose services automatically get terminated following the conclusion of the contract.
