Oman- 66 participate in Gulf forum for blind

The five-day Gulf Forum for the Blind 2019 opened at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah on Sunday. The forum is being organised by Al Noor Association for the Blind in Dhofar. 

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of H E Sheikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service, in the presence of H E Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar, Dr Rasheed bin al Safi al Huraibi, chairman of the Tender Board, Dr Khalid bin Ali al Nuaimi, chairman of the Arab Union for the Blind, and a number of officials.

The forum is being attended by 66 participants representing all branches of Al Noor Association for the Blind in the sultanate, in addition to the participation of the Friendship Society for the Blind in Bahrain, the Association of the Blind in Riyadh, the Association of the Disabled in Al Ahsa in Saudi Arabia, Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind and the Kuwait Blind Association.
