New India Assurance Company in the Sultanate of Oman conducted a farewell function in the honour of the outgoing chief operating officer (COO) of Oman Operations Dr K P Sebastian on Thursday at New India head office in Hamriya.
Dr Sebastian was the chief operating officer for Oman operations of the New India Assurance Co Ltd, since 2015, whose assignment in Oman got over on July 18 on completion of four years.
The new chief operating officer is V V Raghavan, who holds an excellent professional record in the field of General Insurance sector, and has been with New India Assurance Co Ltd - the largest non-life insurer owned by Government of India for 32 years. He has completed fellowship in general insurance from Insurance Institute of India.
Prior to this foreign assignment Raghavan was the divisional manager, Trissur Division –II, Kerala.
Raghavan was the coordinator for implementation of computerisation in all offices under Kerala Region and member of team which finalised vendor for CWISS and accounts software.
During his inaugural speech I M Jacob, general manager (Agency Operations) and P Muraleedharan, general manager (Marketing) thanked and conveyed their gratitude on the support and co-operation received from Dr Sebastian during his tenure as chief operating officer, New India Oman Operations.
They also welcomed the new COO, Raghavan and assured their full support and co-operation for achieving the objectives set out by him during his service period.
