Record low in Brazilian investment rate

(MENAFN) Reports circulated, revealing that Brazil witnessed from January to March 2019 its investment rate plunge into the lowest level to be seen ever since 1967.

News site G1 reported that investment rate in Brazil hit 15.5 percent of the GDP during this year's first quarter, compared to the 15.8 percent seen a quarter earlier.

This result is attributed to a deficit in public accounts along with weak economic performance, as reports explained according to the Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE).

IBRE further revealed that the investment rate of the country struck below the 26.2-percent average of 172 countries and regions last year.
