Qatar trade with France reaches QR 14bn over past year


(MENAFN) The capacity of trade between Qatar and France hit QR14bn over the past year, revealed the French envoy on Saturday, adding that Qatar was a key and dynamic nation that could tide over all difficulties.

French ambassador Franck Gellet at a press conference stated, "Trade between both the countries has been going up and the level of our exchange in 2018 amounted to QR14bn. It shows that Qatar remains a very strong country whatever be the circumstances. The dynamism of both the countries has led to this progress. There is greater interest from both countries to work together".

He also affirmed that the delivery of the Rafale aircraft to Qatar will be accomplished by the first month of the next year.

Gellet stated, "Ten out of the 24 Rafael aircraft to be delivered to Qatar, have already arrived. These planes have been delivered on time. They are the best of this generation and the entire lot will arrive soon with the last one to be delivered by the middle of January 2020".
