Lebanese, British officials discuss bilateral economic cooperation


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Minister of State for Investment and Technology Affairs, Adel Afiouni, received in his office at the Ministry British Ambassador to Lebanon, Chris Rampling.

Confers reportedly reviewed the economic situation and cooperation between both nations, notably in the economic fields, particularly the technology sector.

Minister Afiouni emphasized during the meeting that the economic and financial file constitutes a priority for the Lebanese and the government, hoping that the cabinet will organize as soon as possible to launch the next stage of reforms, including structural economic reforms committed by Lebanon at the CEDRE Conference, in addition to the 2020 state budget.

Discussions also covered the Ministry's ventures in support of the digital transformation of the economy and ways of cooperation with the British government in this regard.
