The Public Works Authority's (Ashghal) 8th Ramadan Tournament for Football and Accompanying Games concluded in the presence of Dr Saad bin Ahmed Al Muhannadi, President of Ashghal; Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Bin Nasser Al Thani, President of Qatar Club, and Abdullah Hamed Al Mulla, Secretary of Qatar Club.
The final day of Ashghal tournament this year was marked by a big sporting event held at the Qatar Club, which hosted the final match between the President's office team against the Petroserv team and ended for Petroserv and the final basketball match between Al Jaber and Makhlouf against the CCC team.
Al Jaber and Makhlouf won midst a heavy crowd attendance by a large number of authority officials and the companies that participated in the tournament along with the families of the attendees.
A friendly match was held between Al Khor Road team with the participation of the president of the authority and the veterans of football, and the team of Al Majd Road, which included directors of affairs and departments.
Eng. Saad bin Ahmad Al Muhannadi, President of Ashghal, expressed his happiness with the atmosphere witnessed on the final day.
He pointed out that the tournament succeeded in reuniting the employees of Ashghal and the employees of companies collaborating with the authority, especially in the holy month of Ramadan. Which ensures an appropriate working environment that enhances productivity and cooperation among us.
He added: The Ramadan Tournament was a great opportunity to start as family, with the participation of all departments and contractors working with the authority, through the organisation of a number of sports championships that contribute to the honest competition between all members of the authority.
The President of Ashghal praised the final day, which came out distinctly, the Public Relations and Communications Department has fully played its role, through the organisation of many competitions, such as football, basketball, table tennis, billiards and play station, in order to meet the wishes of all employees, to work in a team spirit and one family.
