Ebola outbreak in Congo strikes another 17 victims


(MENAFN) The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is facing a new Ebola spread which has possibly left 17 people dead till now.

The health ministry has declared the fatalities: "our country is facing another epidemic of the Ebolavirus, which constitutes an international public health emergency. We still dispose of the well-trained human resources that were able to rapidly control previous epidemics."

Local health officials in the Ikoko Impeng village of Bikoro have analyzed nearly 21 cases which had been showing symptoms of hemorrhagic fever, prior to the outbreak.
