Prior to joining Benchmark, Ebner was regional director of health and wellness for Milestone Retirement Communities. She has also worked in a regional care capacity for Juniper Communities, Enlivant, Sunrise Senior Living and Emeritus.
"I chose to join the Benchmark team at this point in my career because they not only provide outstanding care but also their mission and values resonate with my own. Benchmark understands and embraces the whole picture of heath and is focused on keeping residents, family members and associates connected to what matters most in their lives," says Ebner.
In 2007, she helped establish Helen's Hope, a non-profit organization based in Philadelphia that provides financial relief to those fighting cancer. The organization was established in memory of her sister-in-law, Helen, who lost her battle with breast cancer at the young age of 38. Today, Ebner serves as a board member, helping repay the kindness Helen received while undergoing treatment.
Ebner graduated from Excelsior College with a registered nursing degree. She is married, has three children and five dogs and is proud to call herself a lifelong Pennsylvania resident.
"Missy's excellent leadership skills and clinical expertise will be a huge asset to the associates and residents in our communities," says Karen Bain, vice president of resident care for Benchmark. "She brings to us a wealth of knowledge about health care and senior living, and, more importantly, she shares our belief in the power of human connection to transform the aging experience and lives of those we serve."
