GAC Motor launches GS3, GS7 and GA4 in Qatar

GAC Motor, which is exclusively distributed by the Doha Marketing Services Company (DOMASCO) in Qatar, has launched three of its flagship models which included the GS3, GS7 and GA4 at a ceremony held at the Doha Festival City recently.

The event was attended by VIP guests including China's Ambassador to Qatar Li Chen, Yang Song, Head of the Economic and Commercial Counselor's Office at the Chinese Embassy in Doha, Wu Shutian, Deputy Marketing Director at GAC Motor, Katoon Su, Marketing Manager at GAC Motor, Faisal Sharif, Managing Director at DOMASCO and members of the media.

Speaking at the event, Sharif said: 'The GS3 and the GS7 are two unique SUVs that combine trendy and sporty designs with excellent performance and smart technologies. Together with the GA4, GAC Motor's all-new signature sedan, we are sure to satisfy the different needs of consumers with these quality vehicles. The three new models, GS3, GS7, and GA4 will be on display at Doha Festival City until May 4th. Engineered as more of a sports car than an SUV, the GS3 is built on a trendy design. It is ideal for young families who are looking for a sporty yet comfortable SUV, equipped with the latest technologies to provide an engaging driving experience.

The sleek, ultra-safe GS3 comes in two engine specs of 1.5 L and 1.3 T (Turbo) with 112 hp and 135 hp respectively, which has a peak torque of 202Nm at 1,500 RPM. This SUV also features a 3D voice navigation system, human-auto interaction and the car-life smartphone intelligent interconnection.

The award-winning GS7 is a mid-sized SUV designed for consumers who love fashionable cars and are looking for a carefree driving experience. The car is powered by 2.0T engine which has a power of 199 horsepower at 1,750 RPM and can accelerate from zero to 100 km in 9.5 seconds. The GS7 also features a 6AT gearbox and multi-link suspension to make sure the vehicle performs well even in the most difficult terrain.

The GS7's design is based on GAC Motor's Cross Platform Modular Architecture which offers a robust power control, comfortable interior space and smart entertainment system. It also comes with a trunk space of 822 liters and a panoramic sunroof of 1.35 square meter. This unique SUV is also equipped with a 10-inch central touch-screen, wireless charging, keyless entry system and the newly developed 'injoy smart HMI system.

GA4 is the all-new signature sedan, built on GAC Motor's own A-Class sedan platform. The latter was designed and positioned as a family sedan of quality and charm. Depending on the model chosen, the GA4 can come with either a naturally-aspirated 1.5L engine with 114hp and 4-speed automatic transmission while 1.3-liter turbo engine generating 137hp, 202Nm of torque and 6-speed automatic transmission.

High-end models can come with adjustable halogen headlights, touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, cruise control and even an around-view monitoring system. GAC Motor has launched sales and after-sales networks in 14 countries and regions around the world.

The company is planning to tap the North American market no later than 2019 with its research and development center already in position in the Silicon Valley. GAC Motor aims to sell 500,000 vehicles this year and 1 million annually by 2020, with 10 to 15 new models including SUVs, sedans, MPVs and electric vehicles being released over the next few years.
