(MENAFN) On Monday, Turkey's Interior Ministry stated that approximately 5 tons of powdered marijuana was confiscated in international waters of Mediterranean Sea.
The "Unity Operation" against drug smugglers was carried out by the Turkish police, gendarmerie and coast guard, the ministry affirmed in a statement.
It added that as many as 13 suspects were also arrested during the joint raid.
