(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the mercifulScholars, as has been narrated, are considered to be the successors of all the prophets that have been sent by Allah since the creation of man, from Adam to the Final Messenger, and this shows the great responsibility you have decided to bear.
Your job was to guide people towards God according to a set of instructions derived from the Quran and the Itrah of the Prophet (Pbuh) or in other words, your job was to guide your nation towards light- the light of freedom and fight away darkness- the darkness of slavery and ignorance, and to raise your voice against injustice at a time when speaking against it is a crime but what you did was just the opposite.
You took for granted the legacy left behind by your pious ancestors and ate away at the very roots of Islam and awareness in the community like termites. The Prophet of Allah says, whenever evil appears in my Ummah, the scholars must unveil their knowledge and fight it, and if they don't, they are cursed by Allah. Not only did you not act on the principles and guidelines of the Prophet (Pbuh) but your lust for power made you nourish and even invent evils in the society because ignorance means greater control over people for you.
Instead of bringing light into the community, you put blindfolds on the eyes of the people and enslaved them, both materially and mentally, and the reason for this is the fact that you know you are worthless and the only way you can stay in power is by keeping people ignorant.
You witnessed people violating the laws of Islam and instead of stopping them you encouraged them. You saw people in chains and instead of freeing them, you tightened their chains. I advise you to step down as soon as you can and let this oppressed nation stand on its own feet. You are, as the Commander of the Faithful says, a ship which when breaks, not only sinks itself but drowns everyone that is on board.
Step down and do not drown the nation, for the people are waking up, and if you don't step down yourselves, you will be dragged down and punished in both, this world and the hereafter.
