Esperance Sportive de Tunis (EST) aim to put behind the African Super Cup loss to Raja Casablanca as they take on Club Athletique Bizertin (CAB) in the Tunisian Super Cup today at the Al Duhail Stadium.

EST, who lost 2-1 to their Moroccan rivals in the Friday's clash, will be hoping to pick the winners trophy and assistant coach Majdi Traore was upbeat on the eve of the clash.

Traore while praising the efforts made by Doha in hosting the match said: 'The match between the two Tunisian clubs will give fans in Qatar an idea and the level of Tunisian football. We are looking forward to winning the Tunisian Super Cup after we lost in the African Super Cup.

'The loss was not easy, psychologically. We have asked the players to forget what happened in the last match and to work hard to get the desired results…..the title.

The Tunisian Super Cup is an annual fixture between the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 champions and the winners of the Tunisian Cup. Since its return in 1994, the one-off clash has been organised only three times in 1994, 1995 and 2001. Esperance, won the title in 2001 at the expense of Club Sportif de Hammam-Lif Esperance. Traore hinted that they will have to make some forced changes.

'It's important that we make some changes to the squad and we try to take these changes into consideration, he said.

EST player Sameh Al Darbali while talking to journalists said: 'We hope to show a good performance, which hopefully will translates into a victory and that will help us to get a new title which will add to Esperance's coffers. Montassar Louhichi coach of Club Athletique Bizertin said they had good preparations for the match and are ready for the challenge.

'We have an important opportunity to win the title and we are looking forward to bagging the title, said Louhichii.

'We want to win the title for our fans. I have great confidence in my players abilities and we have played several preparatory games in the city of Bizerte before we come to Doha. Louhichi said his team had many close and keenly fought matches in the past and today's match will not be any different.

'Our goal was to win and we had great confrontations against Esperance in the Tunisian League over the years and we are ready for the challenge.

He also praised Doha for organising the match and said the impressive infrastructure, world class stadiums gives the visitors a glimpse of what is in store in Qatar in the years to come as it prepares to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
