Pompeo's visit to Kuwait aims at inking several deals


(MENAFN) U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's visit to Kuwait will be an important occasion and an opportunity for contracting a number of agreements between the two nations in defense, security and customs cooperation, Khaled Al-Jarallah, Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister, affirmed on Monday.

Al-Jarallah greeted Pompeo's visit as part of U.S.-Kuwait Strategic Dialogue between the two nations, hoping that it would support to enhancing of strategic dialogue and boosting its fields.

He emphasized that Kuwait seeks successful discussions with Pompeo about many cooperation sectors, including economic, investment and energy, in addition to security and military cooperation, particularly joint counterterror efforts.

He stated that the discussions will also touch serious regional crises, mainly Yemen and Syria.
