Saudi air defense intercepts drone launched by Houthi militia


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, March 8 (KUNA) -- The Saudi-led Coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen on Friday shot down a drone belonging to the Houthi militia, the Coalition spokesperson Col. Turki Al-Maliki said.

Al-Maliki, in a statement, noted that the Saudi Air Defense shot down a drone, which was on its way towards residential areas in the city of Abha, resulting in minor injuries to four civilians.

"After examining the wreckage of the drone, it turned out to be with Iranian characteristics and specifications," he added.

The spokesperson warned the Houthi militia of targeting civilians and using terrorist tactics in the suicide attack. (end) nsa.aa
