Venezuela aims for peace with U.S., opposition
(MENAFN) Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza said his government wants to have peace with the United States and hopes to negotiate with the opposition.
He said: "we want peace with the United States ... we want mutual respect between both of us."
The foreign minister also said that he would be very pleased to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
He added that "we are hoping that the opposition will sit down at the table with us. We are all Venezuelans. We are all brothers and sisters."
