Kuwait, Algeria ink 40 accords, memos

KUWAIT, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- Algerian Minister of Finance Abdulrahman Rawia said on Thursday that the Kuwaiti-Algeria Committee wrapped up its latest meetings here today by signing four accords, bringing number of the inked agreements between the two countries to 40.
Minister Rawia, in a statement to KUNA, said that the committee members discussed hurdles obstructing efforts for boosting the bilateral relations, adding that the regular holding of 10 sessions at this level signaled the two countries' serious approach toward boosting the bilateral economic and commercial relations.
All recommendations of the 9th session, held in Algeria in September 2016, were approved in the latest commission sessions, he added.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance said in a press release that Minister of Finance Nayef Al-Hajraf co-chaired the latest session with his Algerian counterpart.
The two sides inked four accords and memos including one dealing with infrastructural construction. Moreover, a memo was inked by Boursa Kuwait and the Algerian stock clearing company.
Al-Hajraf said that the memo signaled a new chapter in bolstering cooperation in various fields, namely the stock exchange.
The commission meetings kicked off on February 19 and concluded today. The 11th round will be held in Algiers, next year. (end) fnk.rk
