Wizz Air launches flights from Kyiv to Athens and Thessaloniki


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) On Tuesday, February 19, Wizz Air announced the opening of two new routes from the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany) to Athens and Thessaloniki in Greece. The first flights are scheduled for May 20 and 21.

"Kyiv - Athens route will be launched on May 21 with a convenient flight schedule twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while the flights on Kyiv - Thessaloniki route will be launched on May 20 and will be operated twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays," Wizz Air press service reports.

It is also noted that Ukrainian passengers can already plan their trip and book the tickets at a price starting from EUR 19.99 on wizzair.com or via the WIZZ mobile app.

Currently, Wizz Air offers Ukrainian passengers 45 routes to 13 countries from three Ukrainian airports. In 2018, the low-cost airline carried more than 1.5 million passengers on its flights to/from Ukraine, representing 107% growth compared to the same period last year.
