Truck full of explosives seized in Nangarhar, 3 arrested

KABUL: A truck full of explosives was seized in eastern Nangarhar province on Sunday, spy operatives said. Three persons were detained in the incident for illegally transporting the explosive materials in the truck coming from Pakistan to the Nangarhar province.
Provincial Governor Shah Mahmood Miakhil said operatives of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) seized a truck full of 10,000kg explosives in Torkham- Jalalabad highway in Rodat district.
'The truck that came from Pakistan, was meant for terrorist activities,' the governor said.
A big tragedy avoided after the NDS operatives detained three suspects and seized their truck full of explosives, he furthered.
Moreover, NDS operatives arrested a person with 10 pistols in Torkham crossing point, planning to transfer it from Pakistan to Jalalabad, the provincial city of Nangarhar.
