Mumbai, January 25th: One of Indias top Multispecialty Healthcare Institutes, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) and Medical Research Institute, today celebrated 10 years of its commitment to redefining healthcare services in India. Chairperson, Ms. Tina Ambani and acclaimed actor Shri Amitabh Bachchan graced the occasion with their presence.

Furthering their commitment to healthcare in the country, the opening of two new hospitals in Indore and Raipur by 2020 was announced. As part of the initiative to open 18 Cancer Care Centres across Maharashtra, two Centres in Akola and Gondia have already been launched with a third in Solapur, ready to open by March. Clinics and Telemedicine Centres in Surat and Rajkot are active since 2016.
Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute is in dialogue with Boston Childrens Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center & National Cancer Institute, USA for Clinical Research in Paediatric Cardiac Sciences and Cancer. Taking the cause of Medical Research ahead in the country, the Institute has conducted over 112 Research Projects, 22 International Multi-centric Drug Trials and published 138 Research Papers in International Research Journals. The institute is among the leaders in the world in research on Wilson Disease, having identified genetic mutations specific to Indian patients with Wilsons disease.

A healthcare landmark in India, the Hospital sees 265000 Outpatient cases and has 40000 plus inpatient Admissions every year with over 20% of patients coming from the rest of India. Over 7000 Children Heart Surgeries have been done with 60% of these being in babies less than 30 days old. With a success rate of 97% the outcomes are at par with Boston Childrens Heart Hospital, USA. Having done more than 600 Robotic Surgeries in 2018, we run the largest programme in the country.
