Confirmed! Disha 'Dayaben' Vakani won't return to 'Taarak Mehta'

'Hey Raam! Mataji' This was the reaction of the audience after Disha Vakani aka Dayaben exited TV show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
After entertaining the audience for more than a decade now, Disha finally parted ways with the popular show.
Reportedly, Disha, who plays the lead role in the show, took the decision after TMKOC producers failed to meet her conditions.

Disha went on maternity break in 2017

Notably, Disha has been missing from TMKOC ever since she took the maternity leave in September 2017.
There were reports that she would return post the maternity break. However, her comeback was doubtful owing to her new responsibilities.
"The shooting conditions are tough and Disha's baby is still very young," the producer once stated.
Dayaben was willing to return with some conditions

Meanwhile, there were reports that Disha was planning to return on TMKOC. However, she had put forward certain conditions for her comeback.
Disha, being a new mommy, made certain changes in her professional schedule and was expecting the makers to accept her demands.
"Disha had laid some conditions with her timings and availability along with monetary concerns to makers," a source was quoted saying.
Disha demanded a fee hike for her return

Given her popularity, Disha also demanded a decent hike in her fees for her second innings.
According to the reports, Disha, who was earning Rs. 1.25 lakh her episode, wanted to increase her fees to Rs. 1.50 lakh. But the makers didn't budge.
"Discussions went on for months, but now, both parties have mutually decided to end their association," the source added.
Produces Asit Kumar dropped hints about Disha's exit

Recently, TMKOC producer Asit Kumar also dropped hints about Disha quitting the show. Back then, he had maintained that they were trying to talk to her.
"Can't say about the authenticity of that news. Maybe true. I don't know about the final decision. My team is talking with her," he stated.
Apparently, TMKOC cast is still not aware of Disha's exit from the show.

Although Disha is yet to announce her exit officially, the news will certainly leave her fans disappointed.
After all, TMKOC will never be the same without our beloved Dayaben.
Meanwhile, there are reports that makers are finding a replacement for Disha. In fact, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya actress Giaa Manek is likely to replace her on TMKOC, but an official announcement is still awaited.
