They exited from the quarters on two occasions (1996, 2015).

Pakistan have been semi-finalists in four editions (1979, 1983, 1987 and 2011).

Pakistan's best moment came in 1992, when Men in Green won the trophy under Imran Khan's leadership.

Imran Nazir (160 versus Zimbabwe) has the highest individual score by a Pakistani batsman.

He achieved the feat in the 2007 World Cup.

Shahid Afridi holds the record for the best bowling figures by a Pakistani at the World Cup.

He picked up 5/16 against Kenya at Hambantota in 2011. He also delivered the second best performance (5/23).


Javed Miandad and Wasim Akram had enormous success

Legend Javed Miandad has scored 1,083 aggregate runs for Pakistan at the World Cup. He tops the list for his side.

Miandad sits on 11th position in the all-time list. He hit one hundred and eight fifties.

Wasim Akram has picked 55 wickets for Pakistan at the World Cup.

He is the third highest wicket-taker behind Glenn McGrath (71) and Muttiah Muralitharan (68).
