Qatar- MoPH to sponsor QMED

The Ministry of Public Health has announced its official sponsorship of the 2nd edition of the Qatar International Medical Devices and Healthcare Exhibition and Conferences (QMED), which being organised by Sogha Exhibitions and Conferences.

It will be held between March 22 and 26 at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC), with an expected participations of over 100 local and international companies.

'The support of the Ministry of Health to QMED reflects the Ministry's strong commitment to the health sector which is regarded as the pivot of social development, said Ali Abdulla Al Khater (pictured), Chief Communications Officer and Chair of the Healthcare Communications Committee.

'The sponsorship of the Ministry comes from its keenness to familiarize itself with all that is new in the field of medicine and to communicate with those interested in healthcare and medical devices.

He pointed out the desire of Ministry of Health to open channels of communication between different players in the health sector, as part of its goal to upgrade the health sector as well as create a networking platform.

He stressed that the MoPh is keen to support all initiatives aimed at achieving further development in the health sector.

'QMED 2019 will provide an ideal platform which allows participants to exchange experiences and knowledge; communicate to build efficient partnership and discuss the promising business opportunities. The show will highlight the latest technologies and medical solutions and strengthen the Ministry of Public Health plans to raise the level of healthcare in Qatar in line with the National Health Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030, said Al Khater.

Khalifa Al Mohannadi, Manager of Sogha Exhibitions and Conferences, hailed the Official support extended by the Ministry of Health to serve health and social issues in the country, and added that it is a critical factor in the long-term success of this international event.

Al Mohannadi said that QMED display area is around 5,000 square meters, with participation of more than 100 local and international companies and institutions, including prominent leaders in the development and provision of medical equipment, hospital supplies and medical laboratories.
