Jose Mourinho hits out at reporter, media biased against him?
12 Dec 2018

The sharp-tongued Manchester United manager will never let an opportunity to create a stir pass, and he proved so again when addressing a press conference before the Red Devils flew to Valencia for their Champions League encounter.

A reporter dared to question his ability to bring out the best from Pogba, and Mourinho was instantly triggered.

Read on for further details.

Mourinho wants Pogba to prove his merit
Pogba

In the press conference, the self-proclaimed Special One said he will need players like Pogba to be at the top of their game since the team will have some players "that don't have many miles in their legs".

Pogba was incredible in United's first Champions League group stage match, and it remains to be seen whether he can perform similarly on the last day.

What did Mourinho exactly tell the reporter?
Comments

The reporter asked Mourinho why he was being unable to bring out the best from the French World Cup winner, and visibly tired with all that has been said throughout the season involving him and Pogba, Mourinho was in no mood to grace the question with an answer.

Instead, he said that he simply didn't like the question or the direction it was heading.

Is Mourinho really a victim?
Victim?

Mourinho believes he is the victim of a constant manhunt by the media.

However, to put the entire blame on the media would be foolish as Mourinho has made himself a target by constantly saying controversial things, getting into fights (poking in the eye as well!), and what not.

If he had been more level-headed, there would've naturally been less focus on him.

How are Manchester United gearing up for the match?
Manchester United

Having already progressed to the next round, there is not much pressure on United, but running high on the 4-1 win against Fulham, Mourinho's team will surely want to make a statement after drawing their earlier encounter against Valencia.

Lindelof and Sanchez still remain absent, and with the vital fixture against Liverpool on December 16, Mourinho will surely make changes in the squad.
