No link to weapons seized in Ghazni, says Iran
(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): Iran has vehemently denied having links to a weapons cache that was recently seized in southern Ghazni province.
In a statement, the Iranian embassy in Kabul slammed the allegation as an attempt to harm growing relations between the neighbours.
On Sunday, local officials in Ghazni claimed they had found Iran-made weapons, including Kalashnikovs, pistols, hand grenades and bullets, from a Taliban hideout in the provincial capital.
€œCurrently, Iran and Afghanistan enjoy great economic and cultural relations and [no party] should be allowed to hamper the growing ties,€ the statement added.
