Afghanistan: 3 militants die in air attacks


(MENAFN) The command of special forces declared that over three Taliban militants have died after Afghan Special Operations Forces carried out an air attack in the country's eastern province of Paktika.

The Afghan National Army Special Operations Corps confirmed: "Three Taliban militants were killed following Special Operations Forces' airstrike in Waza Khwa district and on the outskirts of provincial capital Sharan."

The militants outfit is yet to make statements on the incident.

Afghan security forces have intensified security operations against militants recently as the Taliban militant group has been trying to claim territory and establish its positions ahead of winter.
