U.S nuns steal money to gamble


(MENAFN) Two nuns who worked at a Catholic school in California have confessed to stealing around USD 500,000 in order to gamble in Las Vegas.

Sisters Mary Kreuper and Lana Chang stole the money from St James' Catholic School in the city of Torrance, near Los Angeles, to enjoy in casinos.

The women, who are believed to be close friends, looted funds from an account bearing tuition fees and donations.

The sisters, who recently retired, show regret for their behavior.
