Indonesia: 4 die in landslides, floods


(MENAFN) Disaster agency official declared that four people have died as up to 236 villagers have been evacuated after landslides and floods hit East Java province of western Indonesia.

Rahmat Salasa, official of the disaster management and mitigation agency in Pacitan district confirmed that the landslides took place after soils of a hill drifted down on a house, with the four victims inside.

He added: "All the fours, most of them elderly, were dead."

All of the bodies have been recovered, according to Salasa.
