MENAFN- Asia Times) A Filipino migrant worker has been killed in a freak accident on EDSA in Makati City in the Philippines.
According to the Southern Police District, Luis Oracion, a Quezon city resident, suffered serious injuries after he was caught between two buses in the northbound lane at EDSA Guadalupe, ABS-CBN News reported.
The police said that at 5pm on Saturday, Oracion was about to board a bus when the accident occurred. He was rushed to Makati Hospital, but pronounced dead upon arrival.
Authorities have taken the two bus drivers, Marlon Solis, 46, and Dominador Tobias, 68, into custody in order for further investigations to be carried out.
Oracion reportedly just arrived home in the Philippines after working overseas, Philippine Star reported. The report did not state where he worked prior to his return.
