Israeli forces launch teargas to separate Palestinian protest


(MENAFN) On Saturday, tens of demonstrators suffered impermanent suffocation from teargas canisters fired by Israeli forces during a demonstration in support of Palestinian journalists in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli forces used teargas to separate the demonstration, which was organization at the Qalandia checkpoint north of East Jerusalem, according to an Anadolu Agency reporter in the area.

A number of journalists were reportedly wounded during the demonstration.

Saturday's demonstration came among increasing Israeli restrictions against Palestinian journalists in the occupied territories.
