(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Germany has urged extreme restraint in Gaza, but failed to convict Israel's new military airstrikes that martyred not less than six Palestinians.
"Any further escalation must be avoided. We are calling for maximum restraint and an end to the violence," German Foreign Ministry said in a statement, adding that Israel "has the right to defend its security".
Not less than six Palestinians were martyred in repeated Israeli raids in Gaza since Monday.
The Israeli army emphasized the raids came in response to missile fire from the Palestinian territory.
