(MENAFN- Morocco World News) ">Rabat – Several videos posted online show the suspect attacking a policeman, while a car was on fire. The 31-year old attacker died in the hospital from police gunfire.
Police are treating the incident as a terror attack because ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton said that authorities do not believe there is an 'ongoing threat at this stage, but certainly we are treating it as a terrorism incident.'
The police officer added that the suspect is of Somali origin and was 'known' to federal intelligence and local police.
The suspect also drove a car with gas cylinders that caught fire.
