Oman- MoD's Engineering Services facilitates military exercise

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Defence's (MoD) Engineering Services is providing technical support to the ongoing military exercise Swift Sword 3.

MoD's Engineering Services is providing all basic services such as generators for electricity and water supply, maintenance of military facilities and installation of various equipment. It is also facilitating the Sultan's Armed Forces to transport vehicles to and from the field, as well as the loading and transportation of military equipment from their locations to the troops.

Meanwhile, the medical services of the armed forces provide field medical support to all the forces deployed, including providing hospital equipment and supply of all kinds of medicines, drugs, medical equipment, etc.

Lt Col Hamoud bin Ali al Habsi said, 'The electrical and mechanical engineering units provide technical support to all units and formations of the Royal Army of Oman through rescue operations in the field.'

Maj Eng Abdullah bin Amer al Saqri said, 'Engineering Services provides basic services like water and energy to the deployed forces and carry out maintenance work of roads and airfields.'
