Afghanistan: 15 die in suicide attack

(MENAFN) Over 15 people have died as they were voting concluded in parliamentary elections after a suicide attacker set off his bombs in the Afghan capital on Saturday.

Voting was supposed to be done by the time the blast hit an area to the north of Kabul, however, polling stations remained opened in order to handle the huge numbers of people, whom couldn't vote.

A senior security official declared that 10 civilians have died when the attacker attempted to access a polling station, and at least 25 were injured.

The attack emerged to have been the most-effecting of a day marked by a string of smaller-scale incidents that caused dozens of casualties across the country.
