Kuwaiti diplomat presents credentials to Cape Verde Pres.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Senegal Saleh Al-Saqabi has presented his credentials to President Jorge Carlos Fonseca of Cape Verde as a Non-resident Ambassador to his country.
The ceremony was held at the presidential palace in Praia in presence of the country's foreign minister, head of the presidential office of foreign affairs, and head of presidential protocol, Kuwaiti embassy in Senegal said in a statement on Friday.
Ambassador Al-Saqabi conveyed His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's greetings to Fonseca, and expressed His Highness' satisfaction with the current state of the two countries' relationship.
He vowed to exert all efforts toward boosting the two countries' ties on a larger scale, expressing gratitude to Cape Verde for all the facilitations it provided him to make his job easier.
For his part, Fonseca lauded his country's relationship with Kuwait and praised His Highness the Amir's stances.
He also thanked Kuwait for its valuable contributions to his country through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, and expressed his aspiration for a further cooperation between the two countries. (end) tma.ma
